Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Uso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uso comes to the cage accompanied by So Close Now. Jonathan Uso has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uso shoots for a takedown but Whyte saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Uso scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Uso throws a shot from downtown. Whyte moves away and avoids it.
Uso shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Whyte as he jumps to the side.
Whyte is looking for the big counter here.
Uso tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Whyte was well out of range. Poor timing from Uso.
Uso misses with a takedown attempt
and Whyte counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonathan Uso. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Whyte throws a nice looking combination but Uso bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jonathan Uso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uso shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Whyte as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whyte walks into a left hand.

and Whyte counters with a left and a right that stings Uso.

Whyte tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Uso manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Uso throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A leg kick checked by Uso.
Uso drops down looking for a counter takedown but Whyte sprawls and moves away.
Whyte displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Uso.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Whyte!
Uso lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Whyte circles away quickly and effectively.
Whyte looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Uso has his takedown stuffed
and Whyte counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A slapping leg kick lands for Whyte.
Whyte displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Uso.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Uso will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Uso looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Horrible takedown attempt by Uso or perhaps it was just good defense by Whyte, which made it look bad.
Uso tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Whyte swivels and escapes.
Uso dives in and grabs Whyte's left leg, looking for a takedown. Whyte pushes down on Uso's head and hops out.
Uso takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Whyte counters with a crisp right hand that drops Uso! Whyte lets Uso back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Uso is rocked!
David Whyte is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Uso is breathing heavily.
Whyte cracks Uso with a left hook right on the temple and Uso goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Whyte lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Uso is OK!
