The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kausi cracks the inside of Brown's front leg.

Brown blocks a jab.
Brown tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Kausi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brown has time to react.
We've been informed that Brown has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Brown takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kausi wants to clinch.

Brown manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kausi on his heels. He'll look to pass Kausi's guard now, I'm sure.

Kausi wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment.
Kausi is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Brown dives into side control.
