Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geraldo Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kacper Strzelba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kacper Strzelba has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Geraldo Tate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kacper Strzelba!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate fails with the takedown
and Strzelba counters with a three punch combo that has Tate backing up. Tate nods at Strzelba to acknowledge the strikes.
Strzelba tries to bum rush Tate with a series of wild strikes but Tate uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Tate drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Strzelba is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tate is controlling him well.
Tate in side control, throwing shots but Strzelba defends.
Strzelba is pushing Tate's head away, looking to escape. Tate manages to hold on to the position though.
Tate has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tate tries for a kimura but Strzelba is defending well.
Tate throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Strzelba is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Tate is trying to get an arm triangle but Strzelba is defending well.
Tate working the ground and pound but Strzelba is defending the strikes.
Strzelba is pushing Tate's head away, looking to escape. Tate manages to hold on to the position though.

Strzelba pushes Tate away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tate gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Tate has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Strzelba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tate pinned against the cage. Tate gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Strzelba sizes up Tate with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Tate shoots in for a double leg but Strzelba sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Strzelba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tate tries to avoid it but Strzelba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tate to the ground. Tate escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tate seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Strzelba scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Strzelba goes for a double leg but Tate avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Tate continues to drive forward.
Tate throws a big counter combination but Strzelba scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Geraldo Tate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kacper Strzelba.

Strzelba is working for a kimura but Tate is defending it quite comfortably.
Strzelba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tate. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Strzelba throws a series of punches but Tate moves out of range.
Tate is looking to clinch but Strzelba is avoiding it.
Strzelba tries to counter by closing the distance.
Tate misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tate tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Strzelba defends well and Tate ends up having to push Strzelba into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And Strzelba tries to counter it with a takedown but Tate pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Kacper Strzelba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Strzelba closes the distance and clinches up with Tate, looking for a takedown. Strzelba pushes Tate against the cage but Tate circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tate looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Strzelba is fending him off so far but Tate persists. Nope, Strzelba circles away and we're back to standing.
Strzelba stalks Tate and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tate's face. Tate staggers backwards, shaken.

Tate takes the fight into the clinch.

Strzelba is trying to break the clinch but Tate has him pressed against the cage.

Tate breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Strzelba with that takedown attempt.
Tate shoots in and drives through. Strzelba sprawls well.
Horrible takedown attempt by Strzelba or perhaps it was just good defense by Tate, which made it look bad.
A combination from Strzelba does no damage.

Tate stuffs the takedown attempt from Strzelba. Strzelba gets slowly back to his feet.

Tate throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Strzelba was covering up waiting for the punch and Tate finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Geraldo Tate overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tate decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Tate moves out of range as Strzelba strikes.
Tate drops down looking for a counter takedown but Strzelba sprawls and moves away.
Geraldo Tate is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Strzelba misses with the combination.
Strzelba shoots in looking for a takedown but Tate manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Strzelba's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Geraldo Tate.
I think Strzelba has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
