Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Hammer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Hammer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Green!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer closes the distance and clinches up with Green, looking for a takedown. Hammer pushes Green against the cage but Green circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hammer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Green defends it nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hammer jumps guard but Green turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

We've been hearing that Hammer has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Green wants to control but Hammer is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Hammer or perhaps it was just good defense by Green, which made it look bad.
Hammer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Green as he avoids it easily.

Hammer is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Green pulls him back up using the underhooks.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
