PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Collasus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mubaracus Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Collasus comes to the cage accompanied by Darker Side. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mubaracus Carwin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collasus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carwin.
Collasus is looking to counter punch.
Carwin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

We've been hearing good reports from Collasus's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Collasus has Carwin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Carwin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Carwin is pressed up against the cage. Collasus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Carwin down to the mat. Carwin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Carwin walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Collasus checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Carwin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Collasus on the side of the head.

Collasus looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
No luck for Collasus with that takedown attempt.
Collasus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carwin avoids it really well and circles away.
Carwin misses the shot to the body.
Collasus went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Carwin tries to bum rush Collasus with a series of wild strikes but Collasus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Carwin misses with a few strikes there.
It looked like Collasus was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Carwin.
Collasus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carwin sprawls well. Carwin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Collasus gets slowly back to his feet.
Carwin only half commits to the counter leg kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mubaracus Carwin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Carwin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
