Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Levi Mathis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adiee Richard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adiee Richard!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Richard gets to mount! Mathis was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Mathis is squirming around, avoiding Richard's attempts to control the action.
Mathis bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Mathis postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Richard has a closed guard, preventing Mathis from standing up.
Richard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mathis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Richard will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Mathis won't allow Richard to sweep him here.
Mathis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mathis wanted to stand there but Richard had control of the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Mathis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Richard is just riding it out for now. Mathis eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mathis is nestled in close to Richard, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mathis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Richard is just riding it out for now. Mathis eventually gives up the hold.
Richard is looking to control Mathis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Richard avoid being mounted?
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Mathis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Richard has hold of one of Mathis's legs. Mathis is fighting the takedown attempt but Richard gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Mathis has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Richard has passed into side control.
Richard looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mathis is avoiding damage well.
Mathis tries to buck Richard off but Richard is having none of it.

Richard decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mathis to his feet.
Adiee Richard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Richard closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Richard turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mathis struggling a bit here.
Mathis is looking for a sweep.

Mathis sneaks out the side door and pushes Richard away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Richard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Richard has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Mathis is trying to get back to full guard.
Mathis wants to get back to his feet.
Mathis tries to roll over but Richard keeps him under control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mathis gets full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mathis holds on and takes a little breather.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Adiee Richard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mathis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Richard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mathis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Levi Mathis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mathis darts in trying to clinch
and Richard counters with a two punch combo.
Richard throws a head kick but Mathis moves out of range.

Mathis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Richard wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Richard breaks Mathis's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Richard stops Mathis from standing up.

Richard looking to sit in guard and control but Mathis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Richard might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mathis haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Adiee Richard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Richard has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
