Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Sunderland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincenzo Calliente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sunderland comes to the cage accompanied by Placebo - Running up that hill. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sunderland looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Calliente takes a kick to the side of the head.
Calliente gets a double leg takedown into Sunderland's guard.
Calliente won't allow Sunderland to sweep him here.
Calliente not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Calliente stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sunderland swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sunderland bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Calliente's guard.
Calliente lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Sunderland escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Calliente gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sunderland isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Calliente stacks Sunderland on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Calliente!
Sunderland tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Calliente cracks Sunderland with a big right hand but Sunderland just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Calliente slips a nice elbow through Sunderland's hands, connecting with Sunderland's forehead.
Calliente is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sunderland defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sunderland is refusing to be controlled, as Calliente sits in half guard.

Calliente takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Sunderland has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Calliente can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sunderland has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Calliente is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sunderland.
