Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Deadwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Derrick Deadwood!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deadwood slips a jab from Miller.
Deadwood cracks a nice hook into Miller's ribs.
Deadwood throws a body shot but no joy.
Deadwood throws a quick inside leg kick.
Deadwood throws a hook to the side of Miller's head but Miller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Miller turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Miller fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Deadwood to the ground. Miller is now in Deadwood's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Miller wants to control from the top but Deadwood keeps moving.

We've been hearing that Miller has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Miller is fighting to break Deadwood's control of his arms but Deadwood is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Miller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Deadwood is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Miller throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Miller trying to mount his opponent but Deadwood defends it.

Miller takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Deadwood gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.


It looks like Derrick Deadwood has been cut.
Miller throws a hook to the side of Deadwood's head but Deadwood sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Miller gets a double leg takedown into Deadwood's guard.
Deadwood trying to keep a closed guard but Miller is proving a slippery customer.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Deadwood holds on and takes a little breather.
Miller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miller throws a big elbow that misses.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
David Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Miller shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Deadwood napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Deadwood thows a left - swing and a miss!

Miller throws a big shot that misses.
Deadwood fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Miller works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Miller drives through with a takedown into Deadwood's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Miller closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Deadwood's guard.

Miller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Deadwood on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Miller scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Deadwood is not content to let Miller control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller wants to pass to mount but Deadwood is defending the position.
Miller is thwarting Deadwood's attempts to control the position.

Miller throws a strike but Deadwood avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Deadwood looking for subs off his back but Miller has passed one foot through into half guard.
Miller is nestled in close to Deadwood, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

David Miller showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Miller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
