The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jefferson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Furth tightens his grip and picks Jefferson up, before dumping him to the ground. Jefferson manages to land in guard.
Furth controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Furth thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jefferson tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Furth is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jefferson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Jefferson has left one of his arms exposed and Furth doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Jefferson screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
