Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Enoch Knowles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevens instigates a clinch.
Come on Stevens - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Knowles wants a takedown but no success here.
Stevens is trying to drag Knowles to the mat but Knowles just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Knowles has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Stevens is trying to keep an underhook but Knowles manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Knowles landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Stevens has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Knowles escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Knowles!
Stevens can't do much from the bottom here.
Knowles in side control, throwing shots but Stevens defends.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stevens tries to bench press Knowles off him but Knowles keeps the position.

Stevens clinches up with Knowles and pushes him back against the cage.
Stevens tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Knowles avoids it.
Knowles fails to pull guard.
Stevens gets underhooks to prevent Knowles's takedown attempt.
Knowles has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stevens after a bit of a struggle.
Stevens's coach down at Finch Farm was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stevens's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Enoch Knowles. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Knowles fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Stevens is leaning against Knowles and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Knowles jumps guard but Stevens turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Knowles wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Stevens ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stevens no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Stevens is trying to control the position but Knowles postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Knowles is working Stevens over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Knowles is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Stevens makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Stevens.
Knowles scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Stevens has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Knowles is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Stevens.
Stevens tries to buck Knowles off but Knowles is having none of it.
Knowles fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Stevens sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Knowles working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Enoch Knowles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Knowles looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Knowles thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stevens's head.

Stevens fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Knowles, pushing him back against the cage.
Knowles wants a takedown but no success here.

Stevens is pressed up against the cage. Knowles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stevens down to the mat. Stevens avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Knowles drops an elbow to the side of Stevens's head.
Knowles wants to stand up but Stevens is controlling the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Knowles fails with a takedown attempt.

Stevens moves into range and clinches up with Knowles.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stevens creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Knowles's defenses.
Knowles drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stevens gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Stevens.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kyle Stevens comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Stevens has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
