PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Miles Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracier with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Monroe to score with a decent uppercut.
Monroe misses with an uppercut.
Gracier has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Monroe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The crowd cheers as Monroe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gracier doesn't seem phased though.
Gracier is looking to clinch but Monroe is avoiding it.

Gracier instigates a clinch.

Gracier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gracier ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gracier uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Monroe.

and Monroe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gracier moves into the clinch.

Gracier breaks the clinch.
Monroe clobbers Gracier with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Miles Monroe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gracier tries to clinch but Monroe moves out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracier throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Monroe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Gracier is rocked!

The fighters circling - Monroe throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gracier throws a wild hook but Monroe just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Gracier gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Monroe raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
