Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Diaz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lamb of God - To The End. Mishima comes into a darkened arena with his song building. All I Do Is Win kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dylan Diaz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dylan Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Mishima!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Mishima 's head but he takes it in his stride.
No luck for Mishima with that takedown attempt.
Dylan Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz connects with a nice looking jab.
Diaz throws a series of punches but Mishima moves out of range.
Mishima blocks a head kick by Diaz.
Mishima changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

and Mishima counters with a shoot takedown. Diaz fights it but they end up in guard.
Diaz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Mishima drops back, looking for a kneebar! Diaz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Diaz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Diaz!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mishima tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Diaz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Diaz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Mishima tries to buck Diaz off but Diaz is having none of it.

Mishima drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Diaz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mishima has Diaz in his guard.

Diaz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
