The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrmann throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Futter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Herrmann is trying to defend but Futter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Herrmann is looking to improve his position.

Futter is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Herrmann defends it well.

Futter seems to be looking for submissions.

Futter is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Herrmann sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Herrmann looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Futter has picked Herrmann up and slammed him! Herrmann can't keep hold of the triangle and Futter manages to pass to side control!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Futter has an Americana. Herrmann didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Futter is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Futter hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

A very excited looking Buck Futter rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
