Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Calem Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Dickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones blocks a head kick by Dickson.

Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dickson is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Dickson has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Dickson is defending well.

Dickson actively working from the bottom here.
Dickson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dickson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Dickson wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Dickson has a hand on Jones's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Jones takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jones lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dickson hang on?
Dickson is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dickson tries to roll but Jones sticks to his back.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Calem Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jones takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jones with the ground and pound but Dickson uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Dickson tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Jones easily slips into full mount!
Dickson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Jones is riding his opponent, not letting Dickson buck him off.
Jones is landing with strikes. Dickson can't take much more of this.
Jones lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Jones throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Dickson!
Dickson is really stuck here.

Dickson tries to escape but Jones has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Jones is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Dickson has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Jones has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Dickson taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Jones doesn't care though - he's delighted!
