The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Barba scores with a one two! Johnson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Barba tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barba manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Barba connects with a body shot.
Barba will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
William Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson.
Frank Barba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Johnson.
Johnson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barba pinned against the cage. Barba gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson shoots for a takedown but Barba saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Barba misses the target.
Barba cracks Johnson with a right hand to the side of the head.
Barba throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnson.
The fighters circle, before Barba throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Johnson's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Barba lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
