Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sami Hyypia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shavo Odin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyypia comes to the cage accompanied by Al Bowlly - Hang out the stars in Indiana. Sami Hyypia could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shavo Odin's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyypia connects with a solid leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Odin.
Hyypia chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hyypia scores with a jab to the jaw.
Hyypia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Odin was well out of range. Poor timing from Hyypia.
Hyypia keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hyypia swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Hyypia looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Odin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jab, jab by Hyypia - just one landing.

Odin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hyypia is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hyypia's jab looks to have found its range, popping Odin under the eye.

Odin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Odin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Hyypia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Odin was well out of range. Poor timing from Hyypia.

Hyypia is breathing heavily.
Odin lands a body shot.
Odin darts in looking for a takedown but Hyypia gets double underhooks and turns Odin into the cage.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Odin.
Odin cracks the inside of Hyypia's front leg.
Odin shoots in for a takedown but Hyypia shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hyypia uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Odin.
Hyypia appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Odin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hyypia loads up on a big right hand but Odin slips the punch.
Hyypia connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hyypia dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hyypia plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Odin lands a nice looking body kick.
Odin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Odin throws a leg kick which misses Hyypia's front leg but catches the back leg as Hyypia tries to avoid it.
Hyypia tries to clinch there but Odin circles away.
Odin connects with an inside leg kick.
Odin scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Hyypia thows a left - swing and a miss!
Odin tries a low kick but Hyypia avoids it.
Hyypia was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Hyypia fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Odin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Odin throws a low kick but Hyypia moves out of range easily.
Hyypia feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Hyypia just misses with a punch to the body.
Hyypia is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Odin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sami Hyypia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shavo Odin.
Odin scores with a leg kick.
Odin throws the left hand but Hyypia avoids the punch easily.
Hyypia throws an overhand right that lands on Odin's shoulder, as Odin tries to avoid the shot.
Odin throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Odin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hyypia manages to avoid it.
Hyypia on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Odin scores with a spinning back kick!
Odin motions for Hyypia to come forward. Odin throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Odin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Hyypia walks forward, straight into a front kick from Odin.
Odin scores with a body shot.

Odin lands a leg kick that knocks Hyypia off balance momentarily.
Hyypia misses with a low kick.
Odin throws a big counter head kick but Hyypia avoids it with no problem.
That kick from Odin tenderised Hyypia's leg. Hyypia is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hyypia will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Hyypia will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shavo Odin dominated that round.
That's time! Hyypia's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hyypia misses with a low kick as Odin jumps back.
Hyypia fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Odin is out of range.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Odin. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Odin connects with a jab.
Odin throws a head kick that misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Odin.
Odin throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Hyypia throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Odin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Odin tries a quick counter leg kick but Hyypia is wise to it.
Odin lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hyypia will feel that in the morning.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hyypia tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Odin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Hyypia is looking to counter with a body kick.
Hyypia is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Odin ducks under a wild hook from Hyypia.
Odin lands with a straight right. Hyypia didn't see that one coming.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Odin.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Odin misses with a body kick.
Odin pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hyypia looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Odin cracks Hyypia with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Odin has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hyypia to stand back up!
Hyypia is rocked!
Both fighters circling a little - Odin finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Odin shoots in looking for a takedown but Hyypia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Odin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Odin digs a good body shot into Hyypia's ribs.
Odin cracks Hyypia with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hyypia tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Odin pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hyypia is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shavo Odin!
