Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Saber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neck has chosen Welcome to the jungle as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saber cracks a nice hook into Neck's ribs.
Neck with a lazy takedown attempt
and Saber counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Saber fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Saber just misses with a punch to the body.
Neck fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Saber feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Necks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Saber tries a low kick but Neck avoids it.
Neck with the counter takedown but Saber avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neck shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Saber sprawls well. Saber wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Neck gets slowly back to his feet.

Neck shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saber lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Saber sizes up Neck with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Saber takes a swing at Neck's ribcage but misses.
Saber throws a body punch but Neck moves out of range.
Neck darts in looking for a takedown but Saber gets double underhooks and turns Neck into the cage.

Neck closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

An elbow from Neck crashes against the mat.
Neck throws a strike aimed at the side of Saber's head but Saber avoids it well.
Neck throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Neck thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Neck is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Saber has escaped the position, nice work there.
Neck throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Saber works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Neck connects with a nice short shot to Saber's temple.

Neck is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Saber knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Neck on the ground.
Saber looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neck is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Saber is just riding it out for now. Neck eventually gives up the hold.

Neck postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Saber is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Neck, into his guard.

Saber has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Saber gets to his feet. Neck looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Saber manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Saber counters with an inside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
