PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Batbold Chinzorig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gray's entrance music is Skindred - Warning. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Chinzorig's choice of entrance music: The Glitch Mob - Fortune Days . Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Batbold Chinzorig!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chinzorig fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gray misses with a shot to the body

and Chinzorig counters with a shoot takedown. Gray fights it but they end up in guard.

Gray is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chinzorig defends well.
Chinzorig trying to control but Gray is working from the bottom.
Gray is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gray has Chinzorig pulled in close to control his posture.
Chinzorig must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gray has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Chinzorig is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gray.

Chinzorig tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chinzorig has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Chinzorig is looking to work some ground and pound but Gray has wrist control.
Gray will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Oh Gray is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chinzorig gets to his feet and stands over Gray, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Gray felt that one! Chinzorig unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Gray from any more punishment!
