Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Diaz!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrew Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan misses the jab.
Diaz throws the left hand but Morgan avoids the punch easily.
Diaz swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Morgan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Diaz misses the body punch
and Morgan counters with a straight right hand.
Morgan fails to land with a series of punches.
Diaz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Morgan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Morgan throws a hook to the side of Diaz's head but Diaz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Diaz went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Diaz misses with a few strikes there.
Morgan's coach down at English Top Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Morgan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Morgan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Morgan lands with an overhand left.
Diaz misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Morgan to counter with a crisp jab.
Nick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diaz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.


Diaz is rocked!

Morgan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Diaz sprawling to the canvas! Diaz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Morgan finish him?!
Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Diaz circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Morgan. Diaz falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Morgan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andrew Morgan! Andrew Morgan retains his middleweight title!
An out of breath Andrew Morgan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
