The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews pivots, looking for a leg kick but Alachnowicz is out of range and Matthews settles back down.
Matthews bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Matthews is looking to counter the offense by Alachnowicz and move into the clinch.
Alachnowicz rushes Matthews and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Alachnowicz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Matthews has him pressed against the cage.
Matthews goes for a takedown in the clinch but Alachnowicz prevents it.
Alachnowicz lands a takedown into guard.
Alachnowicz trying to control but Matthews is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Matthews has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Alachnowicz should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Matthews has tightened it up now! Alachnowicz should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
