The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwager sizes up Dracula with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dracula fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Schwager wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dracula is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Schwager is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dracula doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schwager.
Dracula is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Schwager scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Schwager tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dracula defends well and Schwager ends up having to push Dracula into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

and Schwager counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Dracula gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Schwager to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Schwager passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dracula!

Vladimir Dracula seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schwager shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dracula pinned against the cage. Dracula gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like Vladimir Dracula has been cut.
Schwager misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A nice side step and Dracula releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Schwager shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dracula napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Dracula's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Schwager postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dracula parries the strikes from Schwager easily there. Schwager is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dracula to escape.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Schwager throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dracula tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Schwager is in Dracula's guard.

Schwager is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dracula's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dracula's back!
Schwager thows a strike but Dracula uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Dracula as he ends up in Schwager 's guard!

Dracula might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Schwager haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Dracula must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Dracula passes Schwager's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Schwager is trying is best to control the position here.

Dracula wants to take a breather but Schwager is having none of it.
Schwager tries to kick Dracula off but Dracula keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Vladimir Dracula has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jigoro Schwager is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Schwager feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jigoro Schwager.
Well Schwager has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
