The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cigano misses with a kick to the body
so Free counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Cigano is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Cigano is looking to stall here but Free recovers full guard.
Cigano works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Cigano prevents Free from standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cigano wants to work for an arm triangle but Free is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Cigano seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Free does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cigano tries to close the distance and clinch but Free swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cigano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Free.

and Free counters with a single leg into guard. Cigano didn't expect that.
Free wanted to stand there but Cigano had control of the position.
Free stands and throws Cigano's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Cigano is breathing heavily.
