PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terrence Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurman Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thurman Potts!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris forces Potts back against the cage and clinches.
Harris has Potts pressed against the cage.
Potts should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Potts with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Harris is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Potts lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Potts tries to land knees in the clinch but Harris avoids the damage to the body.
Harris unloads a knee to the mid-section. Potts lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Harris scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Harris is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Potts throws a counter combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Potts has closed the distance and engaged Harris in a clinch.
Potts tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Harris's elbow.
Potts is trying to drag Harris to the mat but Harris just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Harris on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Potts throws a knee to the head but misses.
Potts with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Potts pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harris lands a nice looking body shot.
Potts falls off balance throwing a combination

and Harris counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Harris.

Harris breaks from the clinch.
Potts pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Harris scores with a hook.

It looks like Thurman Potts has been cut.
A jab from Harris does it's job there.
Potts is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Potts throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harris slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Harris scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris throws a head kick that half lands.

That has opened up Thurman Potts's cut even more.
Harris is looking to land body kicks.
Potts wants to counter the offense by Harris and move into the clinch position.

Harris drops Potts with a left and a right! Oh, Potts is hurt - Harris dives into side control looking to finish!

The cut above Thurman Potts's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Potts wants to control but Harris postures up.
Harris tries to score with some ground and pound. Potts controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
You can see the frustration on Potts's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Potts is pushing Harris's head away, looking to escape. Harris manages to hold on to the position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Potts takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Thurman Potts's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
