Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gennakin Golovdy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ephraim Baraka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Golovdy comes into the arena with A New Beginning by Audiomachine blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Gennakin Golovdy has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ephraim Baraka!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golovdy misses with a straight right.
Baraka waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Golovdy.
Baraka lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Baraka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Golovdy was well out of range. Poor timing from Baraka.
Golovdy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


It looks like Ephraim Baraka has been cut.
Gennakin Golovdy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baraka takes a swing at Golovdy's ribcage but misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Golovdy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Golovdy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Baraka thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Golovdy's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Gennakin Golovdy will probably get the nod.

That's time! Golovdy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Golovdy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Baraka avoids a punch combination nicely.
Baraka connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Baraka misses with a looping right.
Baraka tests Golovdy's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Golovdy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Baraka finds it's way round the side to connect with Golovdy's head.
Golovdy is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Baraka is pushing Golovdy up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Baraka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Golovdy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Baraka scores with a sloppy right hand. Golovdy should have avoided that one.
Baraka swats away the attempt to clinch by Golovdy.

Baraka shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Golovdy but Golovdy pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Golovdy, as that shot connected.
Golovdy wants to clinch up but Baraka keeps it at a distance.

and Golovdy counters with a crisp one two that drops Baraka! Golovdy thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Baraka to his feet! Baraka is in big trouble!
Golovdy pounces like a tiger and cracks Baraka with a vicious hook! Baraka is down but not out! Golovdy follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gennakin Golovdy!
Gennakin Golovdy decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
