PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Derrick Millar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincenzo Caiazzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caiazzo has chosen TBDM- What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vincenzo Caiazzo!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Millar avoids the body shot from Caiazzo.
A slapping leg kick lands for Caiazzo.
Millar feints and then cracks Caiazzo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Caiazzo down.
Caiazzo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Millar.
A little jabbing left from Caiazzo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Millar walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Caiazzo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Derrick Millar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caiazzo throws a head kick that misses.

Millar rushes Caiazzo and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Caiazzo is trying to force a seperation but Millar has the dominant position.
Millar lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Millar unloads a knee to the mid-section. Caiazzo lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Caiazzo tries to land knees in the clinch but Millar avoids the damage to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Millar lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Caiazzo wants to break free but Millar has control.
Millar with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Vincenzo Caiazzo has been cut.
Caiazzo prevents a body shot from Millar.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Millar lands with a light punch inside.
Millar lands a left hand that snaps the head of Caiazzo backwards.
Millar with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Caiazzo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Caiazzo pushes Millar back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Millar lands with a left to the head.
Millar works on Caiazzo's body with a couple of short punches.
Millar connects with a nasty looking knee right to Caiazzo's face.

Millar lands a nice uppercut.
Caiazzo is still on wobbly legs! Can Millar finish him?
Millar creates a bit of space and fires a knee right up the middle, almost lifting Caiazzo off his feet and sending him crashing to the canvas! Caiazzo is trying to get back to his feet but his equilibrium is completely gone! The referee has called it off! This fight is over! Millar is jumping up and down like a mad man, celebrating with his cornermen.
