Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Ka Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bong has chosen ULTRAMAGNETIC MCs - Ego Trippin as his entrance music. Frank White has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, El Ka Bong!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong connects with a body shot.
Bong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

White darts in and clinches Bong up against the cage.
White creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Bong lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of White backwards.
White drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bong pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bong missing with a left hand there. White was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
White is looking for a counter combo.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bong. White does a little dance to reset his feet.
White changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bong's waist but Bong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing White off to one side.
Bong let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Bong throws the left hand but White avoids the punch easily.
Bong misses with an uppercut. White saw that one coming.
Bong lands a jab.

Bong shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

White trying to control but Bong postures up.
Bong throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Bong is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. White doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bong.
Bong wants to pass the guard but White is defending well.
Bong works his way into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bong trying to control the position but White is working away.
Bong tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Bong controls the position from side control.

Bong tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bong has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
White can't do much from the bottom here.
White tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bong connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused White some visible discomfort.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
White struggling a bit here.
Bong lands some shots froms side control.
White is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bong is looking to take a break and control but White is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
White is looking for a sweep.

Bong is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. White knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bong is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but White is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

White struggling a bit here.
Bong postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bong throwing shots but missing, from side control.
White takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bong trying to control the position but White is working away.
White controls the position for a moment.
White is not content to let Bong control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
White dodges the ground and pound from Bong.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

El Ka Bong dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


White shoots in looking for a takedown but Bong manages to keep the fight standing, pushing White's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
El Ka Bong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White throws a sloppy head kick and Bong moves out of range easily.
Bong swings away with a body shot that misses
and White counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
White tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bong defends well and White ends up having to push Bong into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A combination from Bong does no damage.
Bong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from White.
Decent striking displayed by Bong there.
White scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Bong throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. White was covering up waiting for the punch and Bong finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. White is keeping the position for now.
White with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Bong can't handle though.

Bong trying to control the position from guard on top but White is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bong has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
White controls Bong momentarily but Bong frees himself.
Bong stopping the sweep attempt from White.

White is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bong defends well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
White seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Bong seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
White misses with a body shot.
White shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank White. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and White counters with a series of strikes. Bong will be more careful next time no doubt.
White fails with a takedown attempt.

White closes the distance and pushes Bong back into the cage.

Bong tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bong prevents the takedown attempt.
Bong has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. White avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Bong tries to land knees in the clinch but White avoids the damage to the body.
Bong gets underhooks to prevent White's takedown attempt.
White has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bong is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bong is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Bong is trying to drag White to the mat but White just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
White tries a knee to the head but Bong blocks it.
White gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bong.
Bong is looking to break free of the clinch but White has double underhooks.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
White gets underhooks to prevent Bong's takedown attempt.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Bong.
Bong has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by White after a bit of a struggle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

El Ka Bong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Bong throws a jab but it's blocked by White.
White has a takedown stuffed.

White tries to keep at a distance but Bong has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bong can't get the takedown.
Bong wants a takedown but no success here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

White works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
White controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
White distracts Bong with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Bong manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. White manages to get himself to full guard.

Bong wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position.

Bong avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bong trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bong is in close to White's body, working some short punches and elbows.
White keeping moving, preventing Bong from controlling successfully.

Bong showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Bong pushes down on White's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Bong is working for a submission of some sort.
Bong trying to control from half guard but White is working away.
The fighters are battling for position here. White manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bong tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard.
Bong is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bong postures up in White's guard and throws a big left but White blocks it.
Bong trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bong trying to control but White is working from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and White counters by clinching up.
Frank White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of El Ka Bong.

White has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bong uses from the top position.
El Ka Bong is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Bong wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.
El Ka Bong has got the better of the ground game so far.

White had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bong defends it easily.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

I would just about give that final round to El Ka Bong.
I've got Bong winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
