The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Macd swivels and escapes.
Macd misses with a hook.
Payne shoots in for a takedown but Macd shows good takedown defense.
Macd gets a clinch.
Macd lands a knee to the head.
Payne can't break the clinch.
Macd just leaning against Payne, taking a breather.

Macd keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Payne's efforts to push away.

Payne has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Macd is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
