The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dre takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Asap pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dre back to the cage. Asap follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Dre throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Asap tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dre is in Asap's guard.

Dre wants to control from the top but Asap keeps moving.

Dre takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Asap is looking to control Dre's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Asap avoid being mounted?
Dre is nestled in close to Asap, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Asap knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dre on the ground.

Dre has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Asap defend it? Dre steps over the head and cranks it - Asap is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Dre!

After the fight, Dr Dre was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
