The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jo tries to clinch but Nazir moves out of range.
Nazir is looking for the big counter here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jo tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Nazir cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jo tries to clinch up.
Jo dives in for a single leg takedown but Nazir sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jo moves to clinch but Nazir breaks away
letting Nazir counter with a right hand.
Jo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nazir scores with a jab.
Nazir avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nice sprawl there from Nazir as Jo shoots in.
Nazir looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jo wants to clinch but Nazir slips to the side
and Nazir counters with a stiff right hand.

Nazir missing with a left hand there. Jo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jo tries to clinch there but Nazir circles away.
Nazir tries to bum rush Jo with a series of wild strikes but Jo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Oh Jo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jo takes the fight into the clinch.
Jo seems to have got his legs back now.
Nazir lands with a light punch inside.
Nazir gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Jo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jo tries for a takedown. No joy.

Nazir drops Jo onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Jo is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jo goes for a takedown attempt but Nazir pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nazir misses with a two punch combination.
Jo clobbers Nazir with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nazir defends well and Jo ends up having to push Nazir into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nazir manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nazir looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Jo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nazir lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jo fails with the takedown

and Nazir counters with a crisp right hand that drops Jo! Nazir lets Jo back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Jo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
It seemed like Nazir was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Jo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jo misses with a takedown attempt
and Nazir scores with a counter punch that sends Jo to the canvas! Nazir smells blood - he's punishing Jo with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Jo has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abu Nazir!
A less than humble Abu Nazir misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
