The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karoa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pop quickly recovers to half guard.
Pop is looking to control Karoa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pop avoid being mounted?
Karoa is keen to just control but Pop is a slippery customer.

Karoa is looking for a kimura but Pop is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Karoa to get the leverage.
Pop is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Last Dragon MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
