The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward looking to score a takedown here. Spencer is defending well but Ward drives through and ends up in Spencer's guard.
Spencer keeping moving, preventing Ward from controlling successfully.
Ward is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ward won't allow Spencer to get back to his feet.
Ward is pushing down on Spencer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Spencer is fighting to maintain full guard but Ward has managed to sneak the leg through.
