The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Hardcore.
Hardcore misses with an uppercut
and Lannister counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lannister drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lannister jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lannister is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hardcore is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hardcore has escaped and now he's on top!
Hardcore passes Lannister's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Hardcore thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Lannister is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hardcore's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hardcore's back!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hardcore is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Lannister gets his way!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lannister is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hardcore defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Hardcore turns into Lannister and is now in his guard.
Hardcore got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lannister has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hardcore has managed to get both his arms back between Lannister's legs - danger averted.
