The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guttuierez swings widly with a right hand
and Hitagi counters with a straight right hand.
Guttuierez throws a head kick that misses
and Guttuierez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've been told by Guttuierez's head coaches at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Guttuierez scores with a jab. Hitagi acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

It looks like Takesaya Hitagi has been cut.
Hitagi blocks a head kick by Guttuierez.
Guttuierez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hitagi lands with a nice body punch.
Guttuierez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hitagi throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Guttuierez throws a right and a left that Hitagi avoids nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hitagi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Guttuierez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hitagi tries to clinch but Guttuierez is having none of it.
Guttuierez misses with a left hand
and Hitagi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Guttuierez throws a poor cross that misses
and Hitagi counters with a straight right hand.
Hitagi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Guttuierez.
Guttuierez scores with a three punch combo!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hitagi throws a hook to the side of Guttuierez's head but Guttuierez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hitagi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Guttuierez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Guttuierez drops Hitagi with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hitagi looks back up at him and smiles so Guttuierez waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Hitagi is rocked!
Guttuierez lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Hitagi - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Guttuierez!
