Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gene scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jenkins will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
No joy there for Gene, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A nice side step and Jenkins releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Gene tries to land a front kick but Jenkins steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jenkins lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Aleixo Gene has been cut.
Jenkins catches Gene napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Gene to the canvas!

Gene is looking to take a break and control but Jenkins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Jenkins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Gene falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jenkins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gene drops Jenkins with a big left hand and mounts him. Jenkins is in big trouble!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gene has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gene throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
