Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Mayhem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Average Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayhem's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bullet With A Name by Nonpoint. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Joe with that takedown attempt.
Joe dives in for a single leg takedown but Mayhem sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

and Mayhem counters with a nice leg kick.
John Mayhem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Average Joe.
Mayhem pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mayhem tries a head kick but it misses.

Mayhem lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Mayhem throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mayhem moves into range and clinches up with Joe.
Joe blocks an uppercut.
Mayhem lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Joe can't break the clinch.
Joe looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
A frustrated look appears on Joe's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Mayhem struggles to land a body shot inside as Joe controls his hands.
Mayhem makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Mayhem has a couple of punches blocked by Joe.

Joe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Joe is trying to force a seperation but Mayhem has the dominant position.

Joe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A chopping leg kick lands by Joe.

letting Mayhem counter with a right hand.
Mayhem takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mayhem lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mayhem fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Good leg kick by Mayhem there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Left hook, right uppercut from Joe.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Joe keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mayhem connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Joe swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A jab from Mayhem does it's job there.
A bone on bone clash there as Mayhem blocks the leg kick.
Joe looks to land a combination but Mayhem avoids it well.
Joe throws a right and a left that both miss.
Joe fails with the takedown
and Mayhem counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Joe on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mayhem. Mayhem obviously looking to wear him down.

Average Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mayhem fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Joe, pushing him back against the cage.

Mayhem trying to stall but Joe improves his position.
Mayhem lands with a right to the head.
Nice body punch from Mayhem - that landed with a thud.

Joe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mayhem looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mayhem throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Mayhem lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Joe connects with a jab.
A cross from Joe lands.
Joe on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Mayhem circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Joe to the canvas! Joe doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Mayhem keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
