Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Moses Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Shank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shank is looking to clinch but Black is avoiding it.
Shank misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shank shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Black as he avoids it easily.

Shank tries to keep at a distance but Black has taken the fight into the clinch.
Black lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Shank works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black trying to keep a closed guard but Shank is proving a slippery customer.
Black tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shank stands up from Black's guard - Shank perhaps looking for a knockout.

Black misses with an attempted mid kick.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shank.

Shank seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Black looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Shank drops back, looking for a kneebar! Black looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Black looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Black!

Shank looks to move to half guard but instead Black has passed into mount! Damn!
Black scoring with strikes but Shank is staying in there.

Shank tries to get to full guard but Black has control of the leg.

Shank is trying desperately to improve position.
Black can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shank is looking to escape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Shank is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Shank is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Shank tries to kick Black off in order to stand up. Black Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Black prevents Shank from escaping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Shank shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Black but Black pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Moses Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Shank.
Black keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shank accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Shank is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Shank slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well, if Shank is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Shank is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Black doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shank.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Black tries to hold on but Shank pushes him away.

Black throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Shank looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Frank Shank showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Black closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Frank Shank has got the better of the ground game so far.

Black decides to stand up.
Black stalks Shank and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shank's face. Shank staggers backwards, shaken.

Shank scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Black wants to control but Shank postures up.
Shank looking to control but instead Black has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Shank lands strikes from half guard.

Black wants to control but Shank is keeping busy.

Shank stands up out of the half guard.
Shank is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Black works over Shank's head and body with a nice combination.
Black tries to bum rush Shank with a series of wild strikes but Shank uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Shank shoots and misses
and Black counters with a head kick.
Shank lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Shank fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Black sprawls well initially but Shank persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Shank stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Black to get to his feet.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shank is looking to take a break and control but Black is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Shank wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Black, who protects the arm well.

Shank manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Black manages to get himself to full guard.
