Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lil Jon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blind Shaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaman has chosen Showdown as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lil Jon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blind Shaman!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Jon with that takedown attempt.

Jon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jon lands in his opponent's guard.
Shaman looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jon trying to control but Shaman is working from the bottom.
Jon is in close to Shaman's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing good reports from Jon's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Jon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Shaman did well to prevent Jon getting side control.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shaman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lil Jon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shaman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Jon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shaman keeps working.

Jon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shaman can do to turn this around?

Jon looks up at the clock and then as Shaman takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jon smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Jon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jon lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Shaman down.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Well, if Jon is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jon wants to free his trapped foot but Shaman is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
You can see the frustration on Shaman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jon takes a little break here. Shaman wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
Lil Jon showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
