Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Chandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laverne Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laverne Reynolds will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Laverne Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler tries a head kick but it misses.
Reynolds shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chandler as he avoids it easily.
Chandler shoots in for a double leg but Reynolds sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chandler goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Reynolds.

Chandler has managed to clinch.
Reynolds trying to control the position but instead, Chandler has worked for underhooks and has pushed Reynolds into the cage.
Reynolds tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reynolds shoots for a double leg takedown but Chandler sprawls well. He's pushed Reynolds's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Reynolds swings wildly with an uppercut but Chandler uses good head movement to avoid it.

Reynolds has taken the fight to the clinch.
Reynolds tries to stall but Chandler uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Reynolds will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Chandler up against the cage.

Reynolds fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chandler, pushing him back against the cage.

Chandler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Chandler pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Reynolds moves into the clinch.
Reynolds fails to pull guard.
Reynolds jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chandler walks away with a smile on his face. Reynolds gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Reynolds shoots in and drives through. Chandler sprawls well.
Reynolds scores with a shot to the body.
Reynolds lands a two punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Horrible takedown attempt by Reynolds or perhaps it was just good defense by Chandler, which made it look bad.
Chandler tries to clinch but Reynolds is having none of it.
Reynolds is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Chandler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reynolds tries to avoid it but Chandler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reynolds to the ground. Reynolds escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Reynolds throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Chandler's head.

Reynolds takes the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Reynolds has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Chandler seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Reynolds can turn it around.

Reynolds is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Chandler has denied him.

Chandler doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Chandler shoots in for a takedown but Reynolds shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Chandler is rocked!
Reynolds dips a shoulder and cracks Chandler with a mighty uppercut! Chandler falls back against the cage and Reynolds unloads with a barrage of strikes! Chandler is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Reynolds screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
