Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quaife tries to close the distance and clinch but Barrett swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Barrett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Barrett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Quaife has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barrett is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quaife has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Barrett can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Quaife wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Quaife chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Barrett can pounce on him.
Quaife darts in looking for a takedown but Barrett gets double underhooks and turns Quaife into the cage.

As Quaife tries to get set, Barrett tries to push him back and clinch up but Quaife manages to avoid the attempt.

Quaife seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barrett does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Quaife wants to take a breather but Barrett is having none of it.

Quaife drops an elbow to the side of Barrett's head.
Barrett flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Barrett is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quaife pulls his head out easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Quaife pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Barrett wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Quaife drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Quaife lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Barrett down.

A lull in the action here as Quaife stalls from top position.
Oh Barrett is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Quaife gets to mount! Barrett was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
A big strike lands for Quaife! That's really hurt Barrett and he's turned his back - Quaife keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Quaife jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
