Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Pae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Pae!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Harris!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pae lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Harris takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Pae lets loose with a powerful body kick. Harris will feel that in the morning.
A head kick misses from Pae.
Pae swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Harris misses with a body kick.
Pae avoids the head kick by Harris.
Harris misses with a kick to the body.
As Harris tries to get set, Pae tries to push him back and clinch up but Harris manages to avoid the attempt.
Pae misses with a low kick.
Harris fails with an attempt to clinch.
A slapping leg kick lands for Pae.
Pae lands with a nice body punch.
Harris throws a low kick but it's checked well by Pae.

Pae has Harris up against the cage in a clinch.
Harris managing to block the knees to the body from Pae.
Harris wants a takedown.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pae avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Harris gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Harris thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Harris working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Harris won't allow Pae to get back to his feet.
Harris wants to control from the top but Pae keeps moving.
Pae trying to keep a closed guard but Harris is proving a slippery customer.
Pae wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Harris manages to pass to side control.
Harris missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Harris trying to mount his opponent but Pae defends it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Harris throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Harris trying to control from half guard but Pae is working away.
Pae wants to get back to full guard.

Harris is working for a kimura but Pae is defending it quite comfortably.
Pae moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pae is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Pae manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Pae looking to throw knees to the head but Harris is blocking nicely.
Harris is working for takedown but Pae is calmly controlling the position for now.
Joe Pae has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Harris.
Harris tries to pull guard but Pae holds him up against the cage and eventually Harris drops back down to his feet.
Pae throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Harris blocks it with crossed arms.
Pae throws a knee to the head but misses.
Harris jumps guard but Pae stands there with Harris around his waist. Harris gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Harris throws an elbow that misses.
Pae tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Pae landing knees to the head.
Pae lands a good knee to the midsection. Harris won't want to take too many of those.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pae misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Harris.
A short right from Pae.
Harris lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Pae.
I was talking to Pae's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pae unloads a knee to the mid-section. Harris lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Harris looks winded!
Harris missing with knees to the body.
Pae doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Harris has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pae after a bit of a struggle.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Harris throws a head punch that misses.
A nice left hand lands by Pae.
Harris is trying to pull guard but Pae has him pressed against the cage.
Harris jumps guard but Pae stands there with Harris around his waist. Harris gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Harris takes a knee right on the jaw!
Pae lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Harris drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pae pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Pae dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Harris tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pae defends well and Harris ends up having to push Pae into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
No luck for Harris with that takedown attempt.
A head kick misses from Pae.
Harris fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pae avoids it really well and circles away.
Joe Pae has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Harris.
Pae throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Harris shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pae as he avoids it easily.
Pae appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Pae connects with a right hand. Harris shakes it off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Harris.
Pae lands with a thumping leg kick.
Harris blocks a head kick by Pae.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pae connects with a high kick.
Harris walks into a straight right hand from Pae.
Pae avoids a kick to the body.
Pae lands a leg kick that knocks Harris off balance momentarily.
Joe Pae is winning the standup battle so far.
A nice combination there by Pae.
Harris walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


Harris is rocked!
Pae throws a nice outside leg kick.
Harris is still on wobbly legs! Can Pae finish him?

Harris shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pae manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris prevents Pae from getting back to his feet.
Harris seems to have recovered his senses.
Harris wants to control from the top but Pae keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harris might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pae haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Harris trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Harris pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pae is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pae throws a series of strikes that have Harris backpedaling.
Phil Harris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pae thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Harris if he has to take too many more of those.
Harris tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pae manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pae dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Harris. That did some damage!
Harris misses with a two punch combination.
Pae displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Harris.
Pae tries to land a front kick but Harris steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Pae looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Harris tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pae defends well and Harris ends up having to push Pae into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Harris has a takedown stuffed.
Harris is breathing heavily.
Pae scores with a punch to the head.
Pae lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Harris is looking to close the distance but Pae sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Harris crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Harris is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Joe Pae!
Our winner, Joe Pae, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
