Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Hoggets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Fierro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tired and clearly flustered, he entered the arena late and after a little discussion it was decided that the bout should take place.
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Hoggets and Luis Fierro. Luis Fierro will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luis Fierro!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoggets misses with a double jab
and Fierro counters with a two punch combo.
Hoggets will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hoggets scores with a hook to the body.
Hoggets lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Fierro or not.
A short left from Hoggets.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fierro swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Fierro looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Hoggets is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Hoggets has Fierro pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hoggets pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fierro tumbling to the mat - Hoggets dives into Fierro's guard.

Hoggets scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hoggets throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fierro works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hoggets throws a big elbow that misses.
Hoggets throwing strikes from guard but Fierro blocks nicely.
Hoggets might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hoggets drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hoggets jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hoggets thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hoggets definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hoggets pushes down on Fierro's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Hoggets looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fierro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hoggets perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hoggets connects with a nice short shot to Fierro's temple.

Hoggets is looking to advance position but Fierro won't allow it.
Fierro keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hoggets slips a nice elbow through Fierro's hands, connecting with Fierro's forehead.
Hoggets content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Hoggets throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Hoggets looks to score with a jab to the body but Fierro is just out of range.

Hoggets fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fierro to the ground. Hoggets is now in Fierro's guard.

Fierro is rocked!
Hoggets stands up over Fierro, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Fierro is still in real trouble! Can Hoggets finish him?
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hoggets accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hoggets lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hoggets is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hoggets scoring with punches to the head and body.
Hoggets stays in close to Fierro's body and controls the position.
Hoggets lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Hoggets postures up in Fierro's guard and throws a big left but Fierro blocks it.

Hoggets gets to his feet and stands over Fierro, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Fierro felt that one! Hoggets unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Fierro from any more punishment!
