Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Kloc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Calloway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calloway is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Death Symphony. Hans Kloc has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hans Kloc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Calloway!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Calloway has closed the distance and engaged Kloc in a clinch.

Kloc breaks from the clinch.
Calloway circles away from the clinch attempt
letting Calloway counter with a right hand.
Kloc wants to clinch up but Calloway keeps it at a distance.
Kloc fails with an attempt to clinch.
Calloway misses with a head kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Calloway has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Calloway swats away the attempt to clinch by Kloc.
Calloway misses with a looping left.
Kloc thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Calloway if he has to take too many more of those.
Kloc moves in looking to clinch but Calloway pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kloc wants to clinch but Calloway slips to the side
and Calloway counters with a one-two to the body.
Kloc tries to close the distance and clinch up but Calloway swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kloc gets a clinch.

Kloc's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kloc is looking to clinch.

Kloc tries to close the distance and clinch up but Calloway swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kloc wants to clinch.
A nice combination there by Kloc.


It looks like Mark Calloway has been cut.
Kloc is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kloc tries to close the distance and clinch but Calloway swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kloc tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Calloway paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kloc tries to clinch there but Calloway circles away.
Kloc looks to clinch
and Calloway counters with a left and a right that stings Kloc.
Calloway avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kloc is looking to clinch but Calloway is avoiding it.
Kloc tries to clinch up.

Calloway gets the takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sloppy strikes there by Calloway.
Calloway misses with the ground and pound.
Calloway has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Calloway tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Kloc pushes Calloway away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Calloway gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Calloway misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kloc dodges the ground and pound from Calloway.

Calloway looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Calloway is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kloc looks calm but he's in trouble here. Calloway gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kloc is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Calloway lets go of the hold and Kloc can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mark Calloway!
