Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Louis Beck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Baxter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Louis Beck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aaron Baxter!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beck gets caught napping as Baxter dives in and scores a takedown. Beck manages to retain guard.
Beck will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Baxter trying to control the position from guard on top but Beck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Beck is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Baxter is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baxter is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Beck still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Beck has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Beck looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Beck is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Beck throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Baxter works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Baxter pushes Beck off looking to stand but Beck dives back in and keeps control.

Beck is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Baxter has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ground and pound from Beck.
Baxter wants to get back to his feet.
Baxter wants to stand back up but Beck manages to pass into side control.
Baxter wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Beck in side control lands a decent elbow.
We've been informed that Baxter has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The strikes coming from Beck are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Beck in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beck landing strikes.
Beck has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Baxter looks winded!
Beck looking to control but instead Baxter has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Beck is not content to let Baxter control the position.

Baxter wants to control for a moment but Beck uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Beck tries to kick Baxter off but Baxter keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Baxter frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Baxter wants to control the pace but Beck is squirming around nicely.

Beck manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Baxter keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Baxter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Louis Beck is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Baxter throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Beck tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Baxter is in Beck's guard.

Beck is trying to control the position but Baxter postures up.

Beck is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Baxter defends well.

Baxter tries to free his leg and advance position but Beck is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Baxter closes the distance and clinches.
Beck tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Baxter tries to circle away but Beck has him pinned against the cage.
Beck wants a takedown but no success here.

Baxter manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Beck throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Baxter manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Beck lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Baxter feints and as Beck raises his hands in defense, Baxter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Baxter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Beck is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Baxter is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aaron Baxter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Beck looks to land a left hand but Baxter moved out of range nicely.

Beck got a little sloppy there for a moment and Baxter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beck has managed to get both his arms back between Baxter's legs - danger averted.
Baxter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Beck is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Baxter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Baxter has escaped and now he's on top!


Beck manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Come on Beck - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Baxter is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Baxter pulls guard successfully.
Baxter preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Beck throwing strikes but missing.

Beck loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Baxter controls Beck momentarily but Beck frees himself.
Baxter wants to stand but Beck is controlling the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Beck throws a chopping leg kick but Baxter manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Beck throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Despite the aggression on Baxter's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Baxter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Beck to the mat! Beck manages to get full guard.

Beck is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Beck has Baxter pulled in close to control his posture.
Baxter won't allow Beck to get back to his feet.

Beck uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Beck fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A telegraphed right hand from Beck misses the target.

Baxter closes the distance and clinches.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Louis Beck.
I think Beck has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
