And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka leaves Brum with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Boyka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brum pinned against the cage. Brum gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fernando Brum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brum closes the distance and clinches.
Boyka goes for a takedown attempt but Brum pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Brum moves into the clinch successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boyka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Brum throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Boykas head.
Brum lands an elbow inside that Boyka shrugs off.

Boyka tries to pull guard but Brum forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Brum gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Brum comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Boyka wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brum has him pressed against the cage.
Boyka tries to land a knee to the head but Brum blocks with his arms.

Boyka lands a left hand that snaps the head of Brum backwards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Boyka gets control of Brum's arms and successfully pulls guard. Boyka will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Brum wants to stand but Boyka is controlling his posture from full guard.
Boyka is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Brum is controlling him.

Boyka wants to sweep but no luck.
Brum wants to stand and escape but instead Boyka has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Brum is pulling down on Boyka's head. It's preventing any offense from Boyka, at least for the moment.

Brum is looking for a triangle but Boyka pushes his legs off easily.

Brum is controlling Boyka's posture.
Boyka wants to control from the top but Brum keeps moving.

Brum has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Boyka is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brum.
Brum is trying to get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Boyka stands up.

Brum clinches up with Boyka and pushes him back against the cage.
Brum dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Brum.
Boyka fails to pull guard.
Brum scores with a shoulder strike.
Brum lands with a short shot to the head.
Boyka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Boyka tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brum just stands there and leans against the cage.
Boyka is breathing heavily.
Brum creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Boyka's defenses.
Brum lands an elbow just above Boyka 's eye.
Brum lands a hook that snaps the head of Boyka backwards.
Boyka tries a knee to the head but Brum blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Yuri Boyka's cut.
That's time! Boyka's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Brum moves into range and clinches up with Boyka.
Brum lands an elbow inside.
Boyka tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Brum lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Boyka backwards.

Boyka is rocked!
Boyka wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Oh Boyka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boyka is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Brum digs a right hand into Boyka's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Boyka's gas tank.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Brum.
Boyka tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brum smiles and moves away.

Brum rushes Boyka and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Brum lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A short uppercut from Brum.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Brum.
Brum has Boyka pressed against the cage. He pushes Boyka back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Brum throws a beautiful elbow that sends Boyka crashing to the floor! Brum piles on the pressure with more strikes! Boyka is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
