The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Valencia moves into the clinch successfully.

Sayed has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Valencia uses from the top position.
Valencia is fighting to break Sayed's control of his arms but Sayed is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Valencia content to stall in guard here.
Valencia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sayed on the ground.
Valencia wants to control from the top but Sayed keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sayed working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Valencia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Valencia manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Valencia controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sayed is on top in guard.

Valencia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sayed gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Valencia might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Valencia wants to sweep but no luck.

Sayed stands and throws Valencia's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Sayed is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Valencia is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Valencia is looking for a sweep.

Sayed is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Valencia looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sayed gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Valencia is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sayed lets go of the hold and Valencia can pop his arm back in it's socket.
