Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Perosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nickey Spillane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Perosh might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Danny Brown - Grown Up. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy Perosh!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nickey Spillane!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Spillane - just one landing.
Perosh steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Spillane.
Perosh is looking to clinch but Spillane is avoiding it.
Spillane swings for the body but Perosh moves out of range.
Spillane waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Perosh.
Spillane throws a quick inside leg kick.
Perosh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Good standup being displayed there by Perosh as he connects with a hook.
Spillane checks a leg kick nicely.
Perosh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Spillane avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perosh tries to bum rush Spillane with a series of wild strikes but Spillane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Perosh throws a front kick aimed at Spillane's knee but Spillane avoids it well.
Spillane throws a leg kick which misses Perosh's front leg but catches the back leg as Perosh tries to avoid it.
Spillane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Spillane takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Spillane punishes Perosh's body with a nice straight punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Perosh looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Perosh misses with a few strikes there.
And Spillane tries to counter it with a takedown but Perosh pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Spillane defending well as Perosh loads up on a big left hand.
Nickey Spillane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Spillane misses the target.
It appears Perosh was looking to counter with a kick there.
Spillane throws a wild body kick that Perosh sees coming a mile off.
Spillane feints and then cracks Perosh's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Perosh down.
Spillane scores with the left hand. Perosh knows he should have avoided that one.
Spillane lands a glancing blow to the side of Perosh's head.
Perosh tries to clinch but Spillane is having none of it.
Spillane lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Perosh clobbers Spillane with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Perosh takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Spillane lands with a kick to the ribs.
Spillane lands a leg kick that knocks Perosh off balance momentarily.
Spillane lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Perosh is breathing heavily.
Spillane fails with a takedown attempt.
Perosh walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Perosh fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Spillane is out of range.
Spillane bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Perosh's head.
Spillane misses with a body kick.
A low kick from Spillane is predictable there
and Perosh makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Spillane uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Perosh has time to react.
Spillane connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Perosh momentarily.
Spillane has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Perosh misses with a hook. Spillane ducked under it nicely.
Jeremy Perosh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Perosh throws a low kick but Spillane moves out of range easily.
Spillane lands with a kick to the ribs.
Perosh wants to slow Spillane down by chopping away at his legs.
Perosh misses with a few strikes there.
Perosh cracks Spillane with an open hand slap.
Spillane on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Perosh misses with a looping right.
Perosh looks to score with a jab to the body but Spillane is just out of range.

Perosh swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Spillane.
Perosh appears to be looking for a big counter.
Jeremy Perosh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nickey Spillane.

Spillane stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Perosh ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Spillane throws a right hand that misses

and Perosh moves into the clinch.
Perosh misses with a punch to the body.
Spillane digs a right hand into Perosh's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Perosh's gas tank.
Spillane lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Perosh backwards.
Perosh doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Spillane working some nice short punches in the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Perosh fails to land.
Perosh throws a head punch that misses.
Perosh tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Spillane blocks a body shot from Perosh.
Perosh misses with a shot to the kidneys.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Nickey Spillane will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Perosh throws a big counter combination but Spillane scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Perosh fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Spillane has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Spillane cracks Perosh with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Perosh tries to clinch up but Spillane circles away and keeps his distance.
Perosh ducks under a wild hook from Spillane.
Spillane avoids the head kick by Perosh.
Spillane appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Perosh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

We've been told by Perosh's head coaches at Rancid Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Spillane uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Perosh has time to react.
Spillane throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Spillane lands a right hook to the body.
A slapping leg kick lands for Spillane.
Spillane fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Perosh.
Nickey Spillane seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Spillane drops Perosh with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Perosh! Spillane dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nickey Spillane! Nickey Spillane retains his heavyweight title!
An out of breath Nickey Spillane thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
