Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dillon Schell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dex Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dillon Schell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dex Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schell doesn't manage to clinch there - Hunter circles away.
Schell throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hunter let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Hunter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Schell as he avoids it easily.
Schell throws a hook but Hunter avoids it easily.
A big right from Schell misses.
Schell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Schell misses with a looping left.
Hunter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Schell sprawls well. Schell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hunter gets slowly back to his feet.
Dillon Schell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slow jab from Schell misses its intended target.
Hunter is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hunter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Schell somewhat.

Hunter keeps control of Schell as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Hunter shoots in but Schell avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Schell closes the distance looking to clinch
and Hunter counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Hunter checks a leg kick nicely.
Hunter throws a big counter head kick but Schell avoids it with no problem.
Hunter shoots for a double leg takedown but Schell sprawls well. He's pushed Hunter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Schell tries to bum rush Hunter with a series of wild strikes but Hunter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Schell looks to land a left hand but Hunter moved out of range nicely.

and Hunter counters with a stiff right hand.
Schell closes the distance and clinches up with Hunter, looking for a takedown. Schell pushes Hunter against the cage but Hunter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hunter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hunter slows down the pace here.
Hunter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Schell smiles and moves away.
Hunter has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Schell is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Schell lands a head shot.

Hunter closes the distance and clinches.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Hunter tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Schell avoids it.
Schell wants to get back to striking at distance but Hunter won't allow it.
Schell misses with a body punch.
Schell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Hunter pressing his opponent against the cage.
Schell tries to work over Hunter's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Hunter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Schell's efforts to push away.
Schell is trying to push Hunter away but Hunter has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Hunter manages to break the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hunter slips a jab and a cross from Schell.
Schell connects with a jab.

Hunter drives through and clinches with Schell against the cage.

Hunter pulls guard successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dex Hunter will probably get the nod.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hunter looking for a guillotine here but Schell defends easily.
Hunter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Schell wanted to stand there but Hunter had control of the position.

Hunter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Schell has gone for a leg lock! Hunter slips out almost immediately though and dives into Schell's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Schell scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Hunter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Schell defends it nicely.
Schell looks to land a combination. Hunter sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Schell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hunter.
Schell moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromHunter.
Hunter shoots in looking for a takedown but Schell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hunter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hunter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schell tries to avoid it but Hunter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schell to the ground. Schell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Schell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hunter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Schell tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Schell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hunter unleashes a big counter combination but Schell bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Dillon Schell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Schell jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hunter lands with a nice body punch.

Hunter instigates a clinch.
Hunter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Schell after a bit of a struggle.
Schell tries to land knees in the clinch but Hunter avoids the damage to the body.
Hunter lands a nice uppercut.
Schell is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Schell wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hunter has him pressed against the cage.

Hunter tries a knee to the head but Schell blocks it.
Hunter is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Schell is defending well for now.

Hunter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Schell throws a body punch but Hunter moves out of range.
Hunter darts in looking for a takedown but Schell gets double underhooks and turns Hunter into the cage.
Schell throws a right hand that Hunter ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunter also avoids with ease.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Schell misses with a double jab.
Hunter dives in and grabs Schell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Schell pushes down on Hunter's head and hops out.

Hunter lands a big head kick that sends Schell tumbling to the mat! Hunter takes a step backwards and waves Schell back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Dillon Schell has been cut.
Hunter slips under a jab.
Hunter shoots in but no luck this time.
Schell misses with the combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Dex Hunter will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Sloppy strikes from Schell. Those never looked like landing.

Hunter lands a big head kick that sends Schell tumbling to the mat! Hunter takes a step backwards and waves Schell back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Schell is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hunter throws a powerful right kick. Schell tried to block low but the kick was high! Schell was taken right off of his feet! Hunter jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Dex Hunter!
