Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pendekar Sakti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Shawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Sakti lands but Shawn takes it in his stride.

Shawn moves into the clinch successfully.

Shawn is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sakti can't fight it off and eventually Shawn manages to take the fight to the floor. Sakti looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Shawn gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Sakti pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Shawn shoots in but no luck this time.
Sakti shoots in for a takedown but Shawn shows good takedown defense.

Shawn decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Sakti is working an open guard so Shawn takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Shawn rushes Sakti and presses him up against the cage.

Sakti unloads a knee to the mid-section. Shawn lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Sakti using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Shawn has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Shawn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sakti pulls his leg out and moves away.

Shawn stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Sakti keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Shawn manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sakti on his heels. He'll look to pass Sakti's guard now, I'm sure.

Shawn gets to his feet. Sakti looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Sakti gets caught napping as Shawn dives in and scores a takedown. Sakti manages to retain guard.

Shawn stands and steps away. Sakti gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and Shawn counters with a shoot takedown. Sakti fights it but they end up in guard.

Sakti is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Shawn dives into side control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Shawn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sakti walks away with a smile on his face. Shawn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Shawn throws a series of punches but Sakti avoids them all with ease.

Rob Shawn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Shawn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pendekar Sakti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shawn pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sakti is pressed up against the cage. Shawn has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sakti down to the mat. Sakti avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Shawn throws a sloppy head kick and Sakti moves out of range easily.
Sakti tries to close the distance and clinch but Shawn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rob Shawn is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Shawn decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sakti to his feet.
