And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins wants to clinch.
Higgins slips a straight right by Balotelli.
Higgins appears to be looking for a big counter.
Balotelli fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Higgins drops down looking for a counter takedown but Balotelli sprawls and moves away.
Higgins tries a head kick but it misses.
Balotelli lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Higgins shoots in but no luck this time.
Higgins misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Higgins moves in looking to clinch but Balotelli pushes him off.
Higgins dives in for a single leg takedown but Balotelli sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Higgins gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Balotelli counters with a lovely straight right hand!

A decent looking body kick lands there for Balotelli.
Higgins fails to land the takedown.

letting Balotelli counter with a right hand.
Higgins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Higgins closes the distance but Balotelli moves to the side
and Balotelli counters with a nice low kick that buckles Higgins's knee momentarily.
Higgins tries to clinch up
and Balotelli counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Higgins is rocked!

Balotelli connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Higgins covering up! Balotelli comes in with a big uppercut and Higgins goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
