Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elijah Cummings!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cummings dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Van Gompel. That did some damage!
Cummings with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Cummings fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Van Gompel.
Van Gompel takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Cummings shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Cummings wants to control from the top but Van Gompel keeps moving.
Cummings is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Van Gompel has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Cummings is looking to defend but Van Gompel has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Cummings! Van Gompel pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Cummings taps out and this one is all over!

Henk Jan Van Gompel decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Elijah Cummings spoke after the fight, saying 'Breaks down into the corner and cries.'.
